THANK YOU

FROM JACKIE ST ONGE

St. James Parish Family

On behalf of the children of the giving tree, I want to thank you for the wonderful response that you gave.

I know there were many smiles on Christmas morning because of your love and generosity.

In spite of some that felt their needs were greater than the children, all received presents.

PARISH FINANCIAL COUNCIL REPORTS ON THE WEEKLY COLLECTIONS FOR THE MONTH OF DECEMBER

For the last eight years the Parish Financial Council has decided that we publish the collections that are received each week. It is important to understand that the weekly first collection is what the parish needs to meet its expenses. The Parish Financial Council decided ( after studying the expenses of the parish) that we need $ 3,000 in the first collection each week to meet all of our expenses.

Although the collections are given each month, it is also important to be informed about the expenses of the parish. Once a year members of the Financial Council give a full report of the income and the expenses of that fiscal year to the parishioners at all the Masses on a weekend.

RCIA

RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS

St. James parishioners should be well aware of this very important part of the Church’s life. For the last eight years and more people of other faiths or people who were not baptized have been prepared and prayed for by the parish to receive the Sacraments of Initiation and are received into the Church.

We have the privilege of once again of praying for and preparing new members of our Church.

Chuck Bailey is a Baptist who is preparing to be received into the Church through the reception of the Confirmation and Eucharist.

Pauline Marckini is a Methodist and is preparing to be received into the Church through he reception of the Eucharist and Confirmation.

Lisa Costa was baptized in the Lutheran Church and is preparing to receive Eucharist and Confirmation.

Pauline, Lisa and Chuck will also make a Profession of Faith.

Alexander James and Lori Vieira are preparing to receive Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist.

Ryan England is preparing to receive Eucharist and Confirmation.

You are asked to pray for them. Welcome them.

Support these new candidates and catechumens of the Church.

As the Church Year continues, may we be enriched by their journey and preparation.
