AT OUR 4 P.M. PARISH MASS.

LENT is a season of forty days to prepare for the Feast of Easter. It is a time when Catholics can deepen their baptismal life through prayer, fasting and works of charity.

The ashes received on Ash Wednesday symbolize what the Lenten season means. We are called to die to ourselves so that we can rise with the Lord on Easter.

Lent is also the time for candidates and catechumens to make final preparations to receive the Sacraments of Initiation at the Easter Vigil.

Lent is directed to the Sacred Triduum that is one celebration which lasts three days. Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and the Easter Vigil make up the most solemn and sacred celebration of the year.

Easter flower envelopes are available at the entrances of the church. Parishioners are invited to write the names of their loved ones. They will be published on Easter Sunday in the bulletin. We ask that you place them in the collection by Palm Sunday.

We invite parishioners to bring their Lenten sacrificial giving into their weekly shopping. The St. Vincent de Paul Society invites parishioners to donate certain food items each week during Lent. This will allow the needy families of our parish to get adequate bags of food each week. that we need for our food pantry.
