LENTEN COLLECTION OF FOOD FOR THE POOR ST. JAMES’ ST. VINCENT DE PAUL FOOD PANTRY Our parish maintains a food pantry and delivers bags of food to our needy parishioners on a regular schedule. We invite our parishioners to include their Lenten sacrificial giving in their weekly shopping. The St. Vincent de Paul Society suggests that parishioners donate certain food items each week during Lent. This will allow our needy families to have adequate bags of food delivered to them. Please deposit your food offerings in the gathering area of the church. A list of these food items will be included in this bulletin: Sunday, March 9 Spaghetti Sauce and canned vegetables Sunday, March 16 canned meat (spam) and jam/jelly Sunday, March 23 canned spaghetti and pasta (macaroni, shells, etc.) Sunday, March 30 canned tomatoes, soups and beef stew Sunday, April 6 canned beans and peanut butter Sunday, April 13 canned fruit and tuna
