MEETINGS

**Parish Festival Meeting will be held on Monday, March 12 at 7 p.m. in the rectory.

**UIA Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 20 at the First Unitarian Church on Union St. in New Bedford.

St. James’ St. Vincent de Paul Society invites parishioners to participate in our food collection during the season of Lent. Certain items are collected each week so that we will be able to give adequate food to the poor families of the parish each week of the year. This is a way that the poor can accompany us on our Lenten journey.

Canned meat and fish (spam and tuna fish etc.) and jam / jelly

Canned spaghetti and pasta (macaroni, spaghetti shells etc.)

Noon until 5 p.m.

A holy hour for an increase of vocations to the priesthood and religious life will be held at 4 p.m. ending with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.

EASTER FLOWERS ENVELOPES

Are available at the entrances of the church. Parishioners are invited to write the names of their deceased loved ones on the envelope with their contribution for the flowers that will used to decorate the church at Easter. These names will be published in the Easter Sunday bulletin. Please return these envelopes no later than Palm Sunday, April 8.

Also, the rice bowls and sacrificial cards should be placed in the first collection on Palm Sunday.
