A BUS (FREE OF CHARGE) WILL BE AVAILABLE TO BRING PARISHIONERS TO AND FROM THE AREA LENTEN MISSION AT ST. JULIE’S IN NORTH DARTMOUTH.

THE BUS WILL BE IN FRONT OF ST. JAMES CHURCH BY 6:20 P.M. EACH NIGHT. YOU MAY PARK YOUR CARS IN OUR CHURCH PARKING LOT.

We invite parishioners to bring their Lenten sacrificial giving into their weekly shopping. The St. Vincent de Paul Society invites parishioners to donate certain food items each week during Lent. This will allow the needy families of our parish to get adequate bags of food each week that we need for our food pantry.

The blood donated is available to any parishioner. With many elderly people in the parish, this need provides an opportunity for the younger members to contribute a livesaving gift.

Who can donate blood?

Anyone 16 years or over who is in good health. Anyone with a history of cancer or anyone on antibiotics may not donate.

How long does the procedure take?

It takes 45 minutes. The procedure includes an interview to confirm elegibility, the donation, and the rest period after. At the interview the technician will ask you about any medications you are taking and any illnesses you may have had.
