ST. JAMES’ BINGO CLOSING ON

JUNE 1, 2002. After 30 years of working with and leading Bingo, Tim and Mary Mitchell will be retiring. Thank you, Tim and Mary, for your very hard work these many, many years. Thank you to all the other workers and the regular patrons of Bingo.

WILL WE BE HAVING OUR PARISH FESTIVAL THIS SUMMER?

It will depend whether or not we can get enough people to set up the booths and tents and take it all down after the Festival weekend. On April 3, 2002 there will be a meeting to decide. We invite parishioners who would like to work on the Festival weekend to please call Kathy Murphy 508- 992-1069 by Tuesday, April 2.

Welcome to St. James

Fr. Hugh McCullough will be the new chaplain at St. Luke’s Hospital. He will be living at St. James Rectory.

Fr. Mick McCulloough came from his assignment at St. Patrick’s Parish in Wareham.

To avoid confusion with names parishioners are invited to call Fr. "Mick" McCullough and Fr. "Nick" Nichols by their first and last names.

UIA UNITED INTERFAITH ACTION will meet at Santo Christo church hall in Fall River on Tuesday, April 2 at 7 p.m.

Plans are being made for our next ACTION MEETING which will take place at Santo Chirsto Chuch in Fall River on April 29.

UIA is a coalition of 20 Protestant and Catholic Churches in Fall River and New Bedford that look for ways to improve our two cities. It is a powerful way of putting our Faith into Action. The two community organizers, Ray Gagne and Fernanda Souza help our group through community organizing principles.
