COMING TOGETHER FOR HOLY THURSDAY AND GOOD FRIDAY

Parishioners of the four parishes are invited to visit the three churches of St. Anne’s, St. James and Our Lady of Guadalupe/ St. Hedwig during the time of Adoration on Holy Thursday night. In this individual action, it is hoped that we will be praying for one another.

Parishioners of the four churches are invited to make the Stations of the Cross together on Good Friday afternoon. The first four stations will begin at St. James Church at 2p.m. (A bus will leave St. Anne’s Church parking lot at 1:30 p.m. to bring people to St. James for the first four stations.) A bus will be provided to transport the parishioners (parishioners may use their cars) to St. Hedwig/Our Lady of Guadalupe Church on Division St for the praying of the second set of four Stations. We (bus and cars) will then go to St. Anne’s Church for the final Stations. The Liturgy of the Passion will be celebrated after the Stations for those who would like to stay.

For those who would like to leave after the Stations the bus will bring those people back to the St. James parking lot. The bus will also go back to the St. James parking lot after the Liturgy of the Passion.

Fr. Wilson will be he celebrant of this Liturgy. Fr. Buote, Fr. Ed, Fr. Ramon, Deacon Larry and Deacon Marcel will also participate.

This will be our first action together. It provides all of us with the opportunity to pray together. It provides the parishioners of the four parishes to see one another’s churches to appreciate the special places of worship that are dear to them. It helps one another to appreciate the history of each parish.

Please join us for this very important first step toward our becoming one community.
