Call Alice Lester 508-9978040 with any prayer requests. She will communicate your requests to the other members of the prayer line who will pray for your requests. CALLED BY NAME The task of fostering vocations to priesthood and religious life rests with the entire parish community. Parishes throughout our diocese are participating in the "Called by Name" program to mark, "World Day of Prayer for Vocations" on Sunday, May 11. The program asks parishioners to submit the names of young men and women who seem to possess qualities of a potential vocation: helpful, faith-filled, generous with time and talent, active in the parish. If you know some who demonstrate these qualities, help us to encourage him or her to consider a vocation. Take a moment and nominate someone from the parish. He or she will be invited to consider a vocation as an option for the future. Vocations are everyone’s concern as Pope John Paul II wrote: "Every vocation is born, is nourished and develops in the church and is linked to the church in its origin, growth, purpose and mission. For this reason diocesan and parish communities are called to strengthen their commitment to vocations to the priesthood and the consecrated life, especially the proclamation of the Word, the celebration of the sacraments and the witness of charity."
