Also, you are asked to take everything down on Monday, August 11 and 12 at 6:30 p.m. FEAST OF ST. JAMES FRIDAY, JULY 25 MASS AT 9 A.M. FOLLOWED BY RECEPTION IN RECTORY ST. JAMES-ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST SCHOOL If any families are considering placing their children in a Catholic School setting, St. James-St. John School in New Bedford, presently has openings in Grades 3, 5, 6 and 7. Please call the school at 508-996-0534. ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT SUNDAY, JULY 6 NOON TO 5P.M. HOLY HOUR FOR VOCATIONS TO THE PRIESTHOOD AND RELIGIOUS LIFE WILL BE HELD AT 4 P.M. MISSIONARY COOPERATIVE COLLECTION AUGUST 2 & 3 The second collection will be for Fr. Francis and his missionary work. The other scheduled collections will be collected in the first collection on that weekend. PARISH FESTIVAL AUGUST 8, 9, 10 We need parishioners who will be willing to give some of their time to work some of the booths on that weekend. Next weekend at Mass there will be lists in the gathering area for parishioners to sign up. New Gifts Needed for the Adult and Children’s Twistee Booths and for the Chinese Auction. Please leave these gifts in the gathering area of the church on a table that will be designated for them. Baked goods needed There will be a sign up sheet for parishioners who would like to volunteer to make baked goods for the Festival. On next weekend the list will be available Next Parish Festival Meeting Wednesday, July 9 at 6 p.m. at the rectory at 7 p.m .
Our next meeting for UIA will be held at St. James Church Hall on Thursday, July 10 at 7 p.m. Please come and be with us. If there are any parishioners who are experiencing violence in any way in their neighborhoods, please make these concerns known so that they can be presented at our UIA meeting.
ORDINATION AND INSTALLATION OF BISHOP ELECT GEORGE COLEMAN TUESDAY, JULY 22 AT 11. AM AT ST. MARY’S CATHEDRAL IN FALL RIVER Because of the limited space, two tickets will be made available to each parish. If there are any parishioners who would like to go (and would go) to this celebration, please contact Fr. Ed. After the celebration at the Cathedral, there will be a reception at White’s Restaurant from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Any parishioners who would like to attend this reception (there are no limits to the number of tickets), please contact Fr.
