ST. JAMES

SOLEMN MASS AT 7 P.M.

All parishioners are encouraged to come to this special celebration of who we are as a parish. Don’t let the word "Solemn" scare you. The Mass will not be too long. It will be celebrated in a special way. The choir will be singing. We have invited Fr. Richard Wilson and other priests to join us. There will be refreshments in the rectory after Mass.

It has been our custom in this parish over the last seven years to celebrate the feast of our patron. Although it is relatively a new custom considering that the parish has existed for the last one hundred and ten years, it is still an important one.

In the past seven years we have celebrated the feast with a special Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament, with special Masses, and with Evening Prayer. This year we will celebrate it with a special Mass with the choir and with special candles lit in the church.

It is another occasion of joining together to celebrate the Eucharist together, to enjoy one another’s company, to take another very small step toward being a community.

PARISH FINANCIAL COUNCIL reports on the collections for the month of June. We need to receive $3,000 in the offertory collection each week to pay all of our bills throughout the year.
