Please remember that what the catechists teach needs to be reinforced by parents by prayer together as a family at home and at church. May the Lord bless us all in transmitting the gift of faith to our young people. BISHOP COLEMAN WILL VISIT our parish on Next Sunday, September 26. He will celebrate the 10 a.m. Mass and install Father Wilson as pastor. While we will have the regular schedule of Masses, we encourage as many parishioners as possible to come to the 10 a.m. Mass and the reception that will follow in the hall. RENEW: Please come next Saturday, September 25, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 to Our Lady of Fatima Church, 4256 Acushnet Ave., in the North End. That day the Diocesan RENEW office, together with other diocesan agencies, will put on a day on Social Justice. It will include faith sharing, presentations, Mass and lunch. Please let Janice Lord or Father Wilson whether you are going so that the correct number of lunches will be ready. FESTIVAL COMMITTEE will meet this Monday at 7:30 in the rectory. New members are welcome as well as old as we look over how this summer’s festival went and look forward to the Fall. CENTENNIAL OF THE DIOCESE OF FALL RIVER: CENTENNIAL ROSARY CELEBRATION Please save in your calendar Monday, October 11 (Columbus Day). That day the Diocese will have the closing ceremony of its Centennial, with a giant Rosary Celebration out at LaSalette in Attleboro. The celebration will begin with a Concert of Praise at 12:15, followed by a banner procession at 1 p.m., the Rosary led by over 50 people from around the diocese praying the Luminous Mysteries, Eucharistic Adoration and Benediction, and some words from our shepherd, Bishop George Coleman. A large choir made up of representatives from throughout the diocese will lead us in songs of praise and thanksgiving. The event will conclude at 4 p.m. It should be a great day for the entire family. We will hire buses so as to travel together from here.ENGLISH CLASS has begun. CENTENARIO DE LA DIÓCESIS de Fall river: CELEBRACIÓN CENTENARIA del ROSARIO En tu calendario reserva el lunes, 11 de octubre (día de Colón, el dia antes del Dia de la Raza). Ese día la diócesis tendrá la ceremonia de cierre de su centenario, con una gran celebración del Rosario en LaSalette en Attleboro. La celebración comenzará con un concierto de alabanzas (en ingles, español y portugues) a las 12:15, seguido por una procesión, el rosario multilingue, Adoración y Bendición de la Eucharistía, y algunas palabras de nuestro obispo, Monseñor George Coleman. Sería un gran día para la familia entera.
