HOLIDAY PENNY SALE

MONDAY, DECEMBER 3 in the church hall.

We need parishioners who will move the gifts from the rectory to the church hall on Saturday,

December 1, @ 10 a.m. in the rectory

Anyone wishing to work the Penny Sale please call Maureen Lewis 993-6965. We are always in need of volunteers.

Gifts are always welcomed for prize tables. They must be new. Gift certificates are great , too.

White Elephant gifts may be left at the rectory. No books or shoes.

We have committed fifty parishioners to be there. Only 22 have signed up. Would you be part of the other 28 to sign up?

We are planning to have 600 people from Fall River and New Bedford.

It’s another way of reaching out.

It’s another way to put our Faith into action.

PARISH PIGRIMAGE TO LA SALETTE SHRINE in Attleboro

on Thursday, November 29

A bus (free of charge) will leave in front of St. James Church at 6 p.m. and return by 9 p.m.

The Hospitality Committee asks that parishioners sign up next weekend and the following weekend at the entrances of the church, if you would like to go on the bus.

CHRISTMAS CAROLING TO THE PARISH SHUT-INS ON SUNDAY, DECEMBER 16

2-4 P.M.

The Hospitality Committee will provide refreshments in the rectory after the caroling.

ADVENT GIVING TREE

Kim McCormack will speak at the Masses about the giving tree. Tags with children’s names and ages will be on the tree. Parishioners are invited to take a tag of of one of these poor children and buy the suggested gift. The tag needs to be placed on the gift. Parishioners are invited to bring the gift to the gathering area of the church during the first two weeks of advent.
