WOULD YOU LIKE TO BECOME A CATHOLIC? ARE YOU AN ADULT WHO HAS NEVER BEEN BAPTIZED OR RECEIVED FIRST COMMUNION? If you fall into either of these categories, the parish will soon have an RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) process beginning. Please contact Fr. Wilson to see about whether this is where God is calling you.

"NEW FAMILY COMMITTEE" is a group open to all parishioners which will work on organizing social events for the whole parish. On Tuesday, Nov. 23 it will meet at 7 p.m. in the hall to plan for the upcoming celebration of the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe in December. On Tuesday, Dec. 7 at 8 p.m. it will meet to discuss fundraising meals and other events to build our community. If you like to cook, decorate, plan a party or just lend a helping hand or brainstorm ideas, please know that you are most welcome to come to either or both of these meetings.

THANKSGIVING MASS will be celebrated on the holiday (Nov. 25) at 10 a.m. in the main church. We are in need of volunteers from the CCD and school children to dress as Pilgrims and Indians for the Mass. Please call the rectory if your child would like to participate.

AFTERNOON FOR FAMILY & FRIENDS WITH THE FOCOLARE HERE on Sunday, November 21 from 2 to 4 p.m. The Focolare Movement, founded in Trent, Italy after WWII, is present today in 182 nations & reaches over 5 million people. Focolare means "hearth" or "family fireside." Chiara Lubich, along with a small group of friends, realized that God is the only ideal worth living for and as a result they focused their lives on the Gospel. Many others followed. Their goal became one of striving towards the fulfillment of Jesus’ prayer to the Father, "May they all be one" (John 17:21). A spirituality of unity came to life and gave rise to a movement of spiritual and social renewal. Please feel welcome to come to spend an evening of friendship with this Catholic movement. Eucharistic Adoration: Now on Wednesdays: From 7 to 9 p.m. we will have Eucharistic Adoration, with the Rosary prayed at 7:20, a talk at 8 p.m., Night Prayer & Benediction at 8:45, and Confession is offered during the evening. Please enter from the Fair Street Parking lot.

MASS FOR WORLD AIDS DAY: Wednesday, Dec. 1 at 12 Noon Bishop Coleman will celebrate Mass at St. Mary’s Cathedral, 327 Second St., Fall River in commemoration of World AIDS Day. The AIDS quilt created by students of the Fall River diocese will be on display. All are welcome.

A Woman's Concern is opening a new pregnancy health center for the South Coast/Fall River region. T.V. MASS on Channel 6 (and 87.7FM radio) has been changed from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sundays. The Mass is a service of the Diocese of Fall River.

COURAGE is a group for people dealing with same-sex attractions while trying to live chastely. Founded by Fr. John Harvey, OSFS, the group is faithful to the Church’s teachings on human sexuality. The next meeting is on Sunday, November 28 at 7 p.m. in the rectory. All are welcome.

DIOCESAN CHOIR FOR FEAST OF O.L. OF GUADALUPE will practice here on Saturdays, November 20 at 3:30 and December 4 at 2 p.m. All are welcome to come and add their voices as we praise God.

"COURAGE" es un grupo para la gente que lucha con atracciones hacia el mismo sexo. Este grupo católico fue establecido por el Padre John Harvey, OSFS, para ayudar a estas personas para que vivieran la castidad, según la ley de Dios. CLASE DE ESPAÑOL se ofrece los Martes a las 7 p.m. en la rectoria.

CLASE DE INGLES: Todos estan invitados a estas clases en donde podrán ir aprendiendo el ingles que les ayudará a una mejor comunicación con la comunidad Americana, comunicando en el trabajo y a los que vayan a presentar el exámen de Ciudadania. Les ayudará sucar la Ciudadania de los EE.UU. La maestra, Nancy Medeiros, nos espera cada miercoles a las 7 p.m. en la rectoria. Ella generosamente da este tiempo para que ustedes puedan aprender el ingles. Son unas clases muy buenas, Nancy es una excelente maestra. "COMITE NUEVA FAMILIA" es un grupo bilingue, abierto a todos los feligreses que quieren organizar oportunidades sociales para toda la comunidad. El Martes, 23 de noviembre se reunirá a las 7 p.m. en el salón para planear con los anglos y los hispanos para la fiesta de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe. El martes, 7 de diciembre a las 8 p.m. se reunirá para planear comidas y otras actividades para ganar dinero para la parroquia y para tener la oportunidad de intercambiar entre las culturas.

REUNION DE ACTIVIDADES EN ESPAÑOL – despues de la Misa de las 11:30 el Domingo 21 de noviembre nos reuniremos en la rectoria para planear para la fiesta de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe en diciembre. Todos estan invitados para que vengan y den sus ideas y talentos. Luego los miembros bilingues presentarán esta información a los de habla ingles el Martes siguiente, para que podamos todos trabajar para el éxito de la fiesta.

R.IC.A. es el proceso de clases para preparar adultos que no han recibido el bautismo o la 1ª Comunión o la Confirmación o que eran de otra religion y ahora quieren hacerse catolicos. Tenemos estas clases los domingos a las 10 a.m. en el salón parroquial. Si no pudiste venir hoy, por favor ven el Domingo próximo.

MISA PARA EL DIA MUNDIAL DE LA SIDA: Miercoles, 1 de diciembre a las 12 de mediodia en la Catedral en Fall River, Mons. George Coleman celebrará una Misa en ingles para todos los que han tenido la SIDA. Todos estan bienvenidos.

CLASES DE BAUTISMO: Como siempre, las clases en preparación para el bautismo se dan los 2os y 3er domingos de mes, despues de la Misa de las 11:30.

CONSEJO DIOCESANO HISPANO tendrá su próxima reunion aquí el Sábado, 20 de noviembre a las 6 p.m.

Se puede dar la paz por un abrazo o un saludo con la mano, sin tener que transmitir alguna enfermedad.

CUANDO VAYAS A RECIBIR LA COMUNION, por favor espera hasta que los ministros de la Comunión se encuentren en el lugar en donde estarán dando la Comunión. Este es un momento muy importante en el que todos podemos ayudar a que haya orden, silencio y devoción.

Adoración Eucaristica Cada Miercoles – De 7 a 9 p.m. tenemos Adoración Eucaristica, con el rosario a las 7:20, una charla a las 8 p.m., Oración de la Noche y Bendicción Eucaristica a las 8:45. El padre está disponible para confesar durante la adoración.

MISA DEL DIA DE ACCION DE GRACIAS se celebrará el dia de la fiesta (Jueves, 25 de noviembre) a las 10 a.m. en la iglesia. Necesitamos niños de la catequesis y de la escuela para disfrazarse como peregrinos ("pilgrims") e indios. Si quieres que tu niño participe, llama al padre o a la hermana en la rectoria.
